Week two of the NASCAR Xfinity Series is underway, with the venue of this weekend’s race taking place at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

With the track under the umbrella of overcast clouds and rain shower possibilities, the drivers look to correct and adjust from the action-packed crashes that happened in last week’s race at Daytona. With a total of five cautions, 21-year-old Noah Gragson won the race after winning the restart to pick up his first career Xfinity victory, despite only leading for 15 of the 120 laps.

The Las Vegas native looks to continue off of his success in Florida with another strong finish in his hometown. His two finishes at the speedway last season were both in the top 10 (3rd on March 3rd and 6th on September 14th). However, he will have to contend with other drivers looking for redemption from last week.

#1 Michael Annett, who won last year’s Daytona race, but finished 11th in last week’s race due to getting loose late in stage 2 and wrecking. The crash also collected #08 Joe Graf Jr., who finished the race in last (36th).

#21 Myatt Snider, who started on the pole at Daytona in his first Xfinity race, finished in 33rd after getting caught up in a collision with #18 Riley Herbst and #25 Chris Cockrum. The 21-year-old rookie will move to the back of the pack for the race tonight due to wrecking in practice yesterday.

#98 Chase Briscoe, the lone Ford to finish in the Top 10 last week at Daytona (5th) and was overtaken by Gragson last week, looks to continue his hot stretch dating back to last year. In seven of his last eight races, the 25-year-old Indiana native has finished in the top 10. His highest finish in Sin City last year was eighth, which came on March 2nd. His 145 quality passes rank first among Xfinity drivers this year. Due to Snider wrecking in practice, Briscoe will be leading the field to green.

The starting lineup features six Chevys, two Toyotas and two Fords. The race, barring any weather delays, is slated to 1:00 p.m. PST.

Stages will end on Lap 45, Lap 90 and the finish at Lap 200.
